Twila Grosse grew up in the historical African Nova Scotian Community of Cherry Brook with a passion and dedication for community.
She’s been involved with many boards and organizations including:
- The Black Cultural Society of Nova Scotia
- Alderney Landing Community Cultural Association
- Southeastern Community Health Board
- United Way
- Lake Loon/Cherry Brook Development Association
- The Halifax Foundation
- Atlantic Baptist Foundation
- Cherry Brook Baptist Church
- African United Baptist Association Nova Scotia
- And many more
With a background in Business, Planning, Budgeting, and Accounting, Twila worked in the Finance Department for 36 years at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport.
